Valerio Rivellini has announced news of their latest concept: a 56-metre Explorer yacht with an extended stern. Designers say the new vessel combines the reliability of a military vehicle, the comfort of a pleasure yacht and the ability to withstand all weather conditions.Valerio Rivellini Extended Explorer yacht concept Photo: Valerio Rivellini Yacht Design Rivellini, the naval engineer and yacht designer who has been at the helm of the homonym studio since 2009, explains how it all began: “This superyacht was designed for families who want to cruise around the world, alternating between landscapes that are totally different to one another from every point of view, starting with the climate and the sea. While Extended Explorer’s stability and robustness enable it to tackle the icy seas of the North in total safety and comfort, the exterior spaces are ideal for fully enjoying the warmer seas, from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean.” Valerio Rivellini Extended Explorer yacht concept Photo: Valerio Rivellini Yacht Design One of the main features of the project is the aforementioned stern area located on the main and upper decks. Thanks to a single extendable platform, the surface area of the two decks can be modified and expanded at the same time. The stern of the upper deck, once opened, can be used as a sunbathing and relaxation area.Valerio Rivellini Extended Explorer yacht concept Photo: Valerio Rivellini Yacht Design Valerio Rivellini Extended Explorer yacht concept Photo: Valerio Rivellini Yacht Design Valerio Rivellini Extended Explorer yacht concept Photo: Valerio Rivellini Yacht Design

The expansion on the main deck also enables the stern platform to transform into an area directly facing the sea, with enough space to host an outdoor gym on one side and sunbathing area on the other. From this deck there is also direct access to the beach area. The layout is to include a panoramic owner’s suite on the upper deck and an engine room to house the hybrid propulsion system.
